
Sony may have finally cut the price for the PS3, but don't expect Microsoft to be following suit in Japan any time soon. Despite the fact that such a move might give lagging sales a kick in the pants, Microsoft says it's just not in the works, at least not just this moment.
Darren Huston, president of Microsoft's Japan division, said that "Xbox prices in Japan are very competitive," which may be true, but seems a bit irrelevant if nobody is buying the darn thing.
Though price cuts aren't the plan for now, Microsoft isn't ruling them out in future:
