If you're trying to sell a 1GB flash-based MP3 player, you're no doubt in a twist about how to differentiate your product from the 18 gazillion other ones out there. Toshiba's latest approach is to come up with a product catalog that looks like a Pantone chart.
The Gigabeat U103 is avaiable (alas, only to Japan consumers) in 24 colors, including melodious options such as "dew grass," "China crimson flower," "green onion" and the mysterious "Kikiyou." The poorly translated press release explains that the idea is to help owners reflect their personality and promote harmony.
