Apparently, the PS2 hasn't gotten the memo that it's a "dead" system: According to a new Nielsen report, Sony's last-gen console accounted for 42% of console usage in the month of June. The next closest console contender was the Xbox--not the 360, mind, but the original--with 17%.
The numbers come courtesy of Nielsen's GamePlay Metrics, which tracks video game console usage and games played on PCs. When it came to online gaming, the winner was--get ready for the shock--World of Warcraft, which accounted for nearly 18% of online gaming. That might not sound very high, but consider that the runner up, Halo, accounted for 3.6% of online gamers' time. Keep reading for a peep at the charts.
