You've seen the scattered stories by now of techies from Best Buy's Geek Squad abusing their position to snoop on customers, but insiders say the problem goes way beyond an occasional Peeping Tom. Former Squad members say technicians routinely browse photos and other personal information on PCs left for sevice and make copies of music and movies stored on them. Says one former Geeker:

Any attractive young woman who drops off her computer with the Geek Squad should assume that her photos will be looked at.

Best Buy says it monitors Geeks closely and is stepping up efforts to weed out troublemakers.
