We're sure the whole exploding battery thing had nothing to do with it, but Sony is no longer the most trusted brand in the United States. Coca-Cola rises to the top in Harris Interactive's new version of its annual survey of which brands people consider the best.

In gadgetland, Sony drops from No. 1 last year to 2; Dell sinks from No. 2 to 4; Microsoft climbs back on the list at No. 8 (Zune? Naw, couldn't be.) and Apple, which we had been thinking pretty much owned the world now, edges up from 10 to 9.
