Sony Takes Out Full-Page Ad to Apologize to Manchester

Sony is still trying to kiss-and-make-up with the people of Manchester for the inclusion of their Cathedral in Resistance: Fall of Man. They've issued releases and sent letters, and now they've placed a full-page ad in the Manchester Evening News to apologize "unreservedly" for any offense they may have caused:

[I]t is also clear that we have offended some of the congregation by using the cathedral in our science fiction game. It was never our intention to offend anyone in the making of this game, and we would like to apologise unreservedly to them for causing that offence, and to all parts of the community who might also have been offended.

The apologies are appreciated, Sony, but enough's enough by now, don't you think? Either completely cave in and give the Church the money they're asking for or wash your hands of it all and move on. To keep revisiting the matter and issuing mea culpas isn't really going to achieve any kind of closure, so why keep doing it?
