Meanwhile, former Gov. Mitt Romney is apparently mulling over the issue and former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said in an interview with a Florida radio station that he'd participate if his staff and CNN can agree on a date. Hdr_cnngopdebate_main_875x185

Giuliani said during the interview that the YouTube/CNN debate reminded him of a New York City town hall meeting.

"I enjoy the format, and I would like to participate in a format like that," he said. "I think to do a debate or two like that is very good maybe it’ll get more people interested in politics," he said.

Meanwhile, political writer Beth Reinhard of The Miami Herald has a column on the subject. She notes that neither of the candidates have provided details about their commitments, but speculates that they're probably fund-raising events.
