An obsession with the Internet and video games has been cited as the main cause behind a couple's neglect of their two young children. Michael and Iana Straw face up to a year in prison for the charge of child neglect, to which they have each entered a guilty plea.
The two children, a 22-month old boy and an 11-month old girl, were severely malnourished when social workers first took them from the Straw house, but are apparently doing quite well in foster care. According to prosecutor Kelli Ann Viloria said that the Straws had the means to care for their children, but simply didn't because they were too busy playing video games, specifically Dungeons and Dragons. (Um, what?)
Sterilize the couple in question, let those children be adopted by parents who are willing to, you know, actually be parents and we'll call it a day.
