Here’s the commercial for Slide Adventure Mag Kid, a new first-party DS game that hits on August 2 in Japan. This should give you a clearer idea of how the game controls: you attach the "slide controller", then actually slide the whole unit around on a table to move the game’s main character. Not sure whether this is gimmick or genius. Likewise DS Face Training, which hits on the same day and also packs in a peripheral (a camera).
