The Hide-a-Pod is a gutted Zune, modified to be an anti-theft case for an iPod or iPhone.... to the product order page ("Microsoft has embedded digital rights management (DRM) molecules into the plastic of the Zune case") Hopefully the Hide-a-Pod will fare a little better than the RetroPod, a modded Sony Sports Walkman case, which was shut down by Sony in 2004.

The Hide-a-Pod is a gutted Zune, modified to be an anti-theft case for an iPod or iPhone. The idea is that while iPods are thief-magnets, the Zune is a big brown box which nobody wants.
