Taito is going to make us all look like total dweebs with Arkanoid DS, recently announced in the pages of Some Japanese Magazine Or Another. Why? Because the ultimate block-breaking game will come with a Paddle Controller that plugs into the second media slot on the DS and... is a paddle.
Four colors (white, silver, black, and pink) will be sold seperately from the game, and a version with the white paddle packed in will also be sold. Expect this to be whittled down to a single configuration if this ever comes to the US.
The actual Arkanoid game, as shown in the hard-to-read cell phone photo of the magazine page, will span both screens of the DS and include a Quest Mode that apparently has you completing different block-breaking challenges. Sounds good to me. There might be a release date, but I can't read the photos, I say again. Doesn't anybody have a freakin' scanner, anymore?
