The trailer for NaturalMotion's Backbreaker asks you to "Imagine a football game where every tackle is different every time." Scheduled for a "next-gen" release some time next year, Backbreaker takes advantage of NaturalMotion's euphoria animation technology, which will, theoretically, make the action just that more realistic.

Natural Motion's CEO Torsten Reil is certainly pumped about it:

Backbreaker is the first football game with truly interactive tackles. By utilizing our motion synthesis engine, euphoria, players will never make the same tackle twice, giving them an intensely unique experience every time they play the game.

Football that looks and feels more genuine is great, but it's going to take more than some pretty tackle animations to compete with the likes of Madden and All Pro.
