Canon is trying to remove one of the pain points of shooting HD video -- frequent disc swapping -- with a new camcorder that includes a 40GB hard drive. The on-board storage in the new HG10 AVCHD is good for 15 hours of HD footage.
The camcorder has 10x zoom lens, optical image stabilization, single-cable connection to an HD TV set and several still photo options. Look for it in October, priced at $1,300.
