
EA's head of European talent acquisition thinks the video game industry, much like Mars, needs women. Speaking at Education Summit at Siggraph, Matthew Jeffery said that the gaming industry's perception as being a haven for young, geeky, socially inept men doesn't do much to attract new blood.
Jeffery went on to say that there were two particular areas of game development in which he felt women would excel and be especially helpful:
EA would love to hire more women, Jeffery explained, but they simply aren't applying for the jobs.
