IPhone Software Update: Zzzzzz

Apple has released the v1.0.1 iPhone software update predicted yesterday, and it's a whole 1.0.1 times better.... All the other goodies that analyst Mike Abramsky supposedly gleaned from Apple's Greg Joswiak – including iChat, MMS, and some kind of widgets – seem to be the result of Abramsky taking too big a sip of the Koolaid.

Apple has released the v1.0.1 iPhone software update predicted yesterday, and it's a whole 1.0.1 times better. According to the release notes, the updates deals with security issues in Safari and the Webcore rendering engine.

All the other goodies that analyst Mike Abramsky supposedly gleaned from Apple's Greg Joswiak – including iChat, MMS, and some kind of widgets – seem to be the result of Abramsky taking too big a sip of the Koolaid. Either that or we'll see another update soon.

Oh, and that hack which allowed remote code execution, the one which might let attackers take control of your iPhone? Turns out it was true. There is a fix and the researchers from Independent Security Evaluators have been credited.
