Krome Studios' Cameron Davis shared some of the details of *Viva Pinata: Party Animals *(360) with the folks over at PinataIsland (the greatest source of Pinata information in the whole world). It sounds like something kids--especially fans of the cartoon--will enjoy, but the rest of us? Well, let's just say that answers like this give me pause:

PI: What audience is this game targeted towards? How will it appeal to children, adult casual gamers, and hardcore gamers alike?
CD: The one thing that all three of those groups have in common is that they like having fun, and that’s what Party Animals is all about.

Eek. The game is set up as a reality show, with four pinatas racing across Pinata Island, competing in minigames and collecting candy as they go. Cameron is particularly fond of Raisant Stomp, where you squash Raisants and your opponents for candy, and Bouncy Bowling. He also mentioned a "hot potato"-esque game called Bombs Away.

A demo should be up on Xbox Live soon.
