Just like love, sometimes good music happens when you're not looking. Last night, I showed up to a friend of a friend's house way deep in the Castro, who happened to be having some people over, and some of those people had guitars, and some were from France, and you know how the story goes. The end result was that I ended up sitting on a pillow in some stranger's living room, listening to a trippy SF DJ and scratch guitarist work some magic only three feet away from smelly me. The guy's name was the Genie. He had bare feet and a mailing list, which I may be posting at a later date if there's any interest.

No camera – like I said before, I was totally unprepared and, to be honest, may have shown up just on the off-chance of some cheese dip. But here the Genie is on YouTube:
