Four previous members of casual game developer MumboJumbo have broken off to form their own studio, Slapdash Games. Scott Hansen, Matthew Molloy, Darren Walker, and Chad Woyewodzic worked together worked together on the wildly popular and award winning Luxor series of games, including Luxor: Amun Rising,* Luxor Mah Jong*, and *Luxor 2. *They'll be joined at Slapdash by Marcus Hopkins, who is also acting CEO.

You could argue that one match-three-balls-to-clear-the-stage game (Luxor) is the same as the next (Zuma), but I really enjoyed Luxor's powerups and twisty, shot-blocking designs. Plus, the Egyptian aesthetic is eye-catching and nifty.
