Not so long ago (OK, so it was like eons ago in blog years, but whatever), we mentioned a little Web video show called Dinner with the Band. To be honest, not too long after the post I pretty much forgot about it. Then today I stumbled across this latest installment featuring the painfully cute Matt & Kim. I have to say, if rock-star-in-his-own-right chef Sam Mason can keep getting fantastic bands on his show, it’ll be addicting (you know, like chocolate or crank). It’s the perfect show for people who like cooking, but prefer to get their pretentious attitude dose from hipster indie rocker types. [Editor’s note: this most certainly does not apply to Matt & Kim – they’re so sweet they should be fed to diabetics.] Mason’s recipes are usually simple enough that the lay person can make them and because of the "in the kitchen" atmosphere the conversation usually remains blessedly free of the usual "my earliest influences were hip-hop and Nirvana" banter. And, you know, it’s the Web, so it’s all you can eat.
