Nobody_puts_baby_in_a_cornerFirst a videogame, now this. The folks a Lionsgate, the studio responsible for the timeless classic Dirty Dancing, have filed a lawsuit against 15 companies that claims they used the trademarked "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" in their merch without permission. The suit, filed in Los Angeles last week, also alleges the unauthorized merchandise creates confusion about what is and isn't legit *Dirty Dancing *schwag.

"The American Film Institute voted 'Nobody puts Baby in a corner' as one of the top 100 most popular quotes from a motion picture," the lawsuit states. "Plaintiff markets and sells merchandise with the movie trademarks through approved licensees as part of the Dirty Dancing line of approved merchandise."

Does this mean that bit about "your dance space" is off-limits too? Moreover, what does this mean for Fall Out Boy? The film is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year (has it been so long since we saw Patrick Swayze in tight pants? Seems like yesterday...) and a 2-disc special DVD has been released so you can relive all the magic. Go ahead. Pop the popcorn, break out the headgear and remember the good ol' days.
