Today's Midway conference call didn't offer many new tidbits of information, save for the fact that the The Wheelman's release has been pushed back to the first half of 2008. You'll be crying yourself to sleep over that one, I know. Midway apparently wanted to give the development team more time to make it not suck.
Other than that, they rang all the same bells that they did during their press conference at E3: they're terribly, terribly proud of Stranglehold, very psyched about Unreal Tournament III, and think you're really going to like Blacksite.
In a recent interview, Midway CEO David Zucker told GamesIndustry that he was "concerned about the take-up of the PS3," but he had nothing but good things to say during the call. He made a point of mentioning the PS3 special edition of Stranglehold, which crams both the game and the movie Hard Boiled onto a single Blu-ray disc, and also the success Midway has had with arcade games on the Playstation Store.
