Over on Wired's front door today, in case you only read Game|Life and missed it, is a piece on Electronic Arts' new Weather Channel-powered feature that adds real-life weather conditions to the fields of NCAA Football this year:

The game, available for Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and 3, downloads a forecast every hour while the player is online, detailing precipitation, temperature and wind conditions. Hurricanes aren't part of the program, but a shift from moderate to high winds will make a fifty-yard field goal that much tougher.

EA says that the feature has proven popular enough to add to other games, like next year's Madden.
