Since no-one bothers with the advanced features of their gadgets anyway, why not add another one into the paid-for, rarely-used mix? Ageia, purveyors of physics co-processors, has developed a mobile version of their extravagantly hardcore gaming technology. The PhysX M100, targeted for notebooks, takes the strain of the complex calculations needed to make corpses flop realistically when they tumble off saloon roofs, down cliffs and through scaffolding.
If you want a look-see in advance—no laptop makers are yet announced—the 100M will be on show at the the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, running for the rest of this week.
