Take Two Boss Talks <cite>Manhunt 2</cite>

Strauss Zelnick recently sat down with Dean Takahashi to discuss Take Two points of interest, including GTA IV, All Pro Football, and Manhunt 2. He didn't have overly much to say about GTA IV, other than to say that it was the largest franchise in the video game business, and "terribly important" for the company.

Zelnick chuckled over Take Two's "ground war" with EA Sports, saying simply that "The market is big enough for more than one sports game company." When it came time to talk about Manhunt 2's current ratings issue, Zelnick was a bit more serious:

I think it creates an opportunity for us as an industry to reinforce the point that there are video games intended for adults and they should be labeled and marketed accordingly. We are utterly comfortable with that. From our point of view, we would have no trouble at all for a concept of an M-rating being for 18 and above instead of 17 and above. That would not trouble us if that gave people more comfort. We are not making these games for kids. These games are not intended to be sold to children.
