It's been a few days, so you've probably finally managed to download the BioShock demo and noticed that while you can see the "Hard" setting, you can't actually access it. Retailers' insistence on maintaining street date (why, oh, why can't you all be as slipshod as Toys R Us?), means the demo is all we have until next week, and access to the higher difficulty would sure help while away the time. DCEmuto the rescue!
The workaround is actually dead simple. Before you fire up the demo, change the default difficulty setting in your gamer profile to "hard." When you start the demo and have the option to choose your difficulty level, "Hard" should be highlighted. If you move your cursor off of Hard, you can't move it back, though, and you'll have to repeat the whole process.
