Epic Games, whose next-generation game development engine Unreal Engine 3, already the talk of the town, announced today that GameSpy's online gaming technology will be added to the UE3 package. The companies call it "an integrated one-stop solution" for game developers.
Of course, Xbox 360 isn't included in the deal because Microsoft already has its own closed online platform, which maybe you've heard of. Today's release goes on to say that the GameSpy technology has already been licensed for two games: Codemasters' Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Ubisoft's Brothers In Arms: Hells [sic] Highway.
