Candybar DVD Player Concept: Fingers Beware

The design of the PDP (Portable DVD Player) seems to have been based on an angle grinder, and although a DVD spinning at 570-1600 rpm won't be enough to say, cut off a bike lock, it could cause a few minor cuts.... The designer, Yeon-shin Seung, also seems to have been "inspired" by another Yanko featured concept, the Dual Music Player from Yong-Seong Kim, although we'll admit that when it comes to raw, out-in-the-open spinning discs, we prefer to do it old-school.

Angle-Player

The design of the PDP (Portable DVD Player) seems to have been based on an angle grinder, and although a DVD spinning at 570-1600 rpm won't be enough to say, cut off a bike lock, it could cause a few minor cuts.

The player twists and folds down into a candybar shape not much bigger than the remote control, and the screen is a flexible OLED display which rolls up when not in use. The designer, Yeon-shin Seung, also seems to have been "inspired" by another Yanko featured concept, the Dual Music Player from Yong-Seong Kim, although we'll admit that when it comes to raw, out-in-the-open spinning discs, we prefer to do it old-school.
