The Book: sonance.artistic.network: re.positioning.007

"A major part of re.sonance.007 will be the second edition of our printed book ''sonance.artistic.network: re.positioning.007'', celebrating our members and our work. The second edition will expand the scope by including international sample projects around two main topics, presented below, and including a historical record. We intend to print 1500 multilingual copies of 130 pages.

Invited International Topics:

A) Mapping Neighborhoods (International Frameworks)

" In the Neighborhood section we invite established and current international networks of artists to contribute articles about their work. Many artistic projects around the globe are working with similar methods, within the same fields of interest, producing comparable content. We aim to present a comprehensive cross section of methods through the eyes of diverse organizations, festivals and artistic-groups. We ask for contributions from Thing, Nettime, Rhizome, eipcp, The Last 5 Minutes, Syndicate, Ljudmila, Spc.London, Isea, File Festival, RICX, Mute Magazine, Fiber Culture, plug.in, kuda.org, resonance.fm and many, many more.

" Our readers – young artists, scientists, technicians and media producers – will be exposed to an international range of groups, and their interests, aims and methods.

We hereby invite contributions, especially from the named exemplar institutions and of similar projects.

B) Art & (Net)-Activism

In the Art & Activism Section we are going to publish theoretical writings and project samples intersecting the fields of art and (net)-activism. Thinkers, authors and opinion leaders of exemplary works are invited to present their work and their activities. This section is divided into 2 parts, one showing international projects and the other aiming to confront the former contributions with projects made in Austria. We invite hackers and activists Indymedia, Mute Magazine, transmission.cc, Deep Dish TV, Telestreet, IFI Bank Watch, dynebolic, Hackitectura, United Alliance, Funkfeuer, Transit, Metalab, 5uper.net and others to contribute...."
