Apple's iPod touch has a problem in Japan. Namely, it won't consent to be unlocked by users of Microsoft Windows. Reports claim that the player gets stuck at a connection screen whenever folks try to get it up and running — and that Apple Japan won't have a solution for a few days.
For the impatient, it comes down, one again, to that age-old truism of computer ownership: Get a Mac. Even if, this time, you only need one for five minutes.
