This morning, game publisher Activision announced that they had purchased developer Bizarre Creations, makers of the Project Gotham Racing and Geometry Wars series. The question on everyone's minds going forward: what of PGR?
1up has a comprehensive article that answers that question. Microsoft, who owns the Xbox racing series, will continue producing the games, but will find a different developer to take the reins.
Other Bizarre games currently in development for other publishers (The Club for Sega and Geometry Wars Galaxies for Sierra) will be finished out, but from then on all the developer's energies will go towards Activision projects. One of the first games on the drawing board? A racer.
