Palm has unleashed the 3G UMTS Treo 500v on an underwhelmed public, and it looks like a smart phone for the fashion conscious. The Blackberry Pearl-alike white handset manages to pack in a 2MP camera and a whole 256MB of memory (expandable via MicroSD card). Windows Mobile 6 brings the usual software (including Outlook and Mobile Office), but the big selling point is the real QWERTY keyboard, something a certain other overhyped and under-specced phone lacks.
Available exclusively on Vodafone in Europe from October 1st, the new Treo has yet to get a US carrier or launch date.
