The psycho-ray isn't something frightening from an L. Ron Hubbard paperback. It is a design for a solar-powered auxiliary cooling system for automobiles.

Using a carbon filtration system and electrostatic dust collector to purify air as it goes, the Psycho-ray has an integrated thermostat and a translucent look that just screams out to be dash-mounted. In reality, I think, such a tiny, skinny thing would either have to be hooked up to the vehicle's existing heat exchangers and whatnot, or be just a fan. Where's the refrigerant?
