Can gaming addiction kill? That's ridiculous, scoffs the general population, and Forbes in "Gaming Ourselves to Death", dated 2003. To paraphrase DMX in Romeo Must Die: Games don't kill people. People kill people.
Well, we may have to revise that statement, as more people are collapsing from Game Death syndrome. The BBC reports here that a South Korean man collapsed after 50 straight hours of gaming in 2005. Then Yahoo News reports *today *that a Chinese man dropped dead in an Internet cafe (no report on what game it was, unfortunately).
Crackdown! Crackdown! I guess whining about the detrimental effect that games are having on society is easier than, you know, convincing people to quit their role-playing to eat every now and again.
