The Halo and Gears of War movies may be stalled but wipe your brow and breathe a hearty "Whew!"; plans for the EverQuest film are moving steadily forward.
Michael Gordon, who wrote 300, has been tapped to adapt the game for the screen, though it's probably too much to hope we'll see a Dark Elf yell "This is Norrath!" before kicking a halfling into a bottomless pit.
Avi Arad will produce the movie for Columbia Pictures. Arad's most recent work includes Spider-Man 3 and Ghost Rider; draw your own conclusions as to what that might mean for EverQuest.
