
As expected Apple has announced the launch date of the new version of Mac OS X – Leopard. It will ship on October 26th, for $130. The tagline for the campaign is the somewhat lame "Add a New Mac to Your Mac", and Apple promises "300+ New Features", a full list of which can be found here. We'll start combing through to see if anything new and interesting has been buried in there, and expect our sister blog Compiler to get it's hands dirty with the details.
We're all about the hardware at Gadget Lab, and the list gives us a few pointers as to what we can expect from the iPod and iPhone. You'll be able to sync audio and video chats from iChat to your iPod and the iPhone gets the much needed addition of Notes:
Also new is the ability to import photos from cameras over WiFi and Bluetooth. Sweet. Just 10 days to go. Please, nobody call me that weekend.
