Capcom and Sony Pictures announced this morning that they will release Biohazard: Degeneration, a full-length CG animated film based on the Resident Evil survival horror games, in 2008.
No word on whether this will be a straight-to-DVD release or a full theatrical production, but I'm wondering when the tail is going to start wagging the dog, if you know what I mean. With the first two Resident Evil movies grossing over $100 million in international box office receipts, might these films actually become more popular than the (increasingly crowded-out) games?
