Missed this over the weekend, but apparently it's not just Target that's offering a Guitar Hero III package with an old controller. Wal-Mart has bundles of Guitar Hero III that are packed in with last year's wired model, for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Yes, it's probably a good move as the games cost $10 less than the ones with the snazzy new wireless guitars. But you should make sure that you buy the package that you're after – or that whoever's buying Guitar Hero III for you for Christmas gets the right one.
