This little plastic widget looks to be an almost perfect quick-fix tool. The v-slot means it will fit any size of nut or bolt and stop it turning, while your finger is easily strong enough to keep it in place.
I think this might actually be better than a spanner in some situations – tight corners especially, and anywhere that requires reaching into the unknown: dropping a spanner down the back of a radiator is all too easy, dropping your finger is not.
The ABS Finger Wrench is just $3.50, and the schoolboy in me appreciates the fact that it holds all nuts up to 1/2".
