
Another digital distribution holdout has given up its futile resistance and decided, finally, to release its catalog through online music stores, according to the Associated Press. On November 13, the same day the band releases a two-CD greatest hits collection called Mothership, Led Zeppelin's back catalog will be available on unspecified online music stores. As part of a separate deal, Verizon Wireless will now offer select Zeppelin songs as ringtones and over-the-air downloads. According to a source close to the situation, Zeppelin's plans do not include subscription services; just a la carte download stores.
