The RAM price rollercoaster peaked this summer and started a downward slide, with 512 megabit chips having lost 25 percent of their market value in just a few days. What does it mean for you? The DIY crowd will see discounted sticks soon enough, but in the immediate future, it's the big contract buyers, like Dell and HP, that will get the benefits.
