Writer's Guild contract renegotiations are so exciting. Something about the possibility of losing another season of A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila just sets my pulse aflutter. Latest development, as reported by the AP: Late last night, Teamsters Local 399 advised its members to honor the writer's strike, should it occur.
While the teamsters themselves are contractually obligated to not picket or strike against the producers, the producers say they will not discipline any employee who chooses not to cross the line. (Oh man! What drama!) Teamsters Secretary-Treasurer Leo Reed says:
The teamsters represent workers in the motion picture industry, from truck drivers to casting directors. The writers' contract expires at midnight on Wednesday.
