What Western Digital's latest 2.5" hard drive lacks in fancy new technology, it makes up for with extra capacity. With 320GB, it's the biggest on the market.
The Scorpio-branded drive uses SATA and whirls at 5400 RPM, with a 12ms access time. At $200, it's not too pricey, either: 250GB models currently go for about $170. It's aimed at upgraders, judging by the tone of the press release, but it shouldn't be too long before these beasts are seen in laptops and USB externals.
