
In an interview with Laptop Magazine, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak extols Leopard's myriad virtues, delivers the smackdown on Linux's chances as a serious consumer OS, and, yes, says the iPhone should be more open to le hackage.
While Apple owns the fruit of its labors, he said, he's "really for the unlockers, the rebels trying to make it free." In short, his position seems to be that he's O.K. with carrier locks, because that's the necessary burden of turning a profit in this industry, but not O.K. with the platform being closed to open third-party development.
