Apple finally bumped the MacBook onto Intel Santa Rosa chips, and the on-board graphics chips got an upgrade, too: The GMA 950 has been replaced by the GMA X3100. Prices remain the same: The base 2.2Ghz model comes in at $1100, the 2.2Ghz at $1300, and if you want a black paint job and an extra 40GB hard drive space you can pay $1500.
The MacBook Pro also gets a quiet upgrade. For an extra $250 you can spec it with a 2.6Ghz Core 2 Duo processor, instead of the previous 2.4Ghz top of the line.
