The man once known as Marky Mark and went on to be nominated for an Oscar, Mark Wahlberg, is in negotiations to play Max Payne in the upcoming movie based on the game.
Directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, The Omen), the movie is scheduled to begin filming next year, once Wahlberg is finished working on Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones.
I always pictured Mickey Rourke as Max Payne, personally, but I guess he's too old and unmarketable at this point.Well, Wahlberg is a great choice.
