Police, Metallica, Bowie Lead <cite>Rock Band</cite> Downloads

The first batch of Rock Band downloadable content that will be made available starting this month has been revealed, and fans of the Police, David Bowie, Metallica, and good old fashioned punk rock will be quite pleased.

I am going to have to start warming up the old vocal pipes now if I want to sing like Sting. "Roxanne," "Synchronicity II," and "Can't Stand Losing You" will be available as a package or separately.

Similar groups will be offered for Metallica, David Bowie, Queens of the Stone Age, and Black Sabbath. A punk rock package with three different tunes will also be offered, and also some individual songs.

Harmonix hasn't said when all of these will be made available, except to say that some of these will be available on the day the game releases, November 20. You can download packages but also individual songs if you don't want all three.

Queens of the stone age pack: 3s and 7s, Sick Sick Sick, Little Sister, all masters

Metallica pack: A three or six song pack, no songs announced yet

Black Sabbath pack: N.I.B, Sweet Leaf, War Pigs, all covers

David Bowie: Moonage Dreak, Heroes, Queen Bitch

Punk Pack: Ever fallen in love, by Buzzcocks, cover
