Social Networking the New Politics Way

The New Politics Institute held an event last Wednesday about how to use social networks to further  progressive politics.

If you weren’t able to attend, the newly-uploaded video below contains the footage of the speakers.

They include:

  • Chris Kelly, Facebook‘s chief privacy officer

  • John Hlinko, President and CEO of the Grassroots Enterprise

  • Cheryl Contee, vice president at Fleischman Hillard, San Francisco. She’s worked with Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union to use social networks to rally supporters.

  • Ben Rattray, Founder and CEO, of Change.org, "an up-and-coming smaller social networking website dedicated exclusively to serving social and political groups"
