There's a particular style to NTT DoCoMo's Foma handsets, which we closely inspected at last week's CTIA tradeshow: geometric, flat, big, long. If you're bamboozled by the variety of submodels and revisions here in the west, however, bear in mind that every one of the 10 phones released today by the Japanese giant are different editions of the exact same thing.

There's the D905i, the F905i, the N905i, the N905iu. Under the letter "S" are filed the S0905i, the SH905i, the S0905iCS, SH905iTV...
And more!

The "P"-subseries of the 905i series refers to Panasonic, as it has a licensing deal with the company's Viera line and 30fps mobile TV. The
"S" ones all have Sony Cyber-shot innards to make the cameras better —
these models have 5 MP snappers, with 3x optical zoom and face recognition. The SH one (pictured) are like the Panasonic ones, but with Sharp's Aquos TV lineup as the branding partner.

Ex-pats will be delighted with the two "TV" models, too, as they appear to be international models.
