The demo for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune hit the US version of the PlayStation Store last week, setting off an uproar that traveled around the world. Not because the demo was bad or controversial, but because it suffered from a terrible case of territorial lockout, meaning only North American PS3 owners could play it.
As Naughty Dog's Christophe Balestra explained, the lockout wasn't at all intentional:
We appreciate your candor, Christophe, just don't let it happen again. *wags admonishing finger* The demo has since been updated and is now playable worldwide.
