CBC: EA 'Bungles' <cite>Rock Band</cite> Canadian Launch

Canadians have been waiting patiently for their postponed Rock Band launch, which was slated to happen this week. But the CBC reports that even this delayed launch was botched, with "retailers... operating under a cloud of confusion."

Several EB Games outlets said they expected shipments to arrive Thursday, but were unsure when or how many they would receive. Best Buy and Future Shop stores told customers the game would be delayed until Dec. 28.

The article goes on to report other stores that didn't receive nearly enough units to fill pre-orders, and that one store could expect only four or five more copies of the $170 game bundle in the next few weeks.

For all intents and purposes, it looks like Canadian gamers' dreams of *Rock Band *under the Christmas tree have been dashed.
